Motherhood: With Beauty and Bravery

“Mama.”

It’s a word I hear often these days—and one I never, ever take for granted.

For as long as I can remember, I knew I wanted to be a mom. When I was a little girl, one Christmas, “Santa” brought me the most beautiful baby doll. She came with her own bed, complete with a soft pink canopy draped overhead. I fed her, changed her clothes, and I’m sure she even got a few bubble baths. To me, she was real.

Looking back, that moment wasn’t just childhood play—it was a glimpse into the calling God had placed on my heart. Motherhood wasn’t just a dream; it was part of my purpose. And by His grace, mercy, and endless love, He has equipped me to be the best mother I can be to my sweet Jamie.

But let’s be honest—motherhood is not easy.

There are moments no book can prepare you for. It’s full of lessons you only learn by walking through them. It's late nights, deep worry, deep joy, and more love than you ever thought your heart could hold.

Motherhood is fearless.

It calls for courage you didn’t know you had, strength you didn’t know you’d need, and a daily surrender to the beautiful chaos that comes with raising a child.

Every year I have the honor of photographing several amazing mamas. Watching them love their children so fiercely, so fully, reminds me once again of just how powerful and inspiring motherhood is. These women aren’t just surviving motherhood—they are embracing it with grace, grit, and heart.

To all the mamas out there:
You are seen.
You are strong.
And you are absolutely rocking it.
