Will you be my Valentine?
One of the most common questions I get as a photographer is,
“Will you show me how to pose? I’m super awkward.”
And every time I hear it, I can’t help but think—it feels a little like asking someone out on a date. Your palms are sweaty, your brain forgets what to do, and suddenly you’re very aware of your hands.
I get it. Truly.
Even as a photographer, stepping in front of the camera makes me feel exposed and a little weird too. Knowing the angles doesn’t magically make the nerves disappear.
That’s why I don’t expect you to show up knowing how to pose or how to “be photogenic.” My job is to guide you through the awkward first moments, hold space for the butterflies, and help you ease into something real. The genuine smiles. The soft laughs. The kind of moments that feel less like posing and more like connection.
Think of it as a first date—with gentle direction, good energy, and absolutely no pressure to be perfect. Just you, exactly as you are… captured with care.
