If you’ve booked a family session with Tina Broome Photography—first of all, welcome! I’m so excited to capture this special time with your loved ones. This post will walk you through exactly what to expect during your session and how I work to turn your memories into timeless pieces of art for your home.
Capturing More Than Just a Moment
Photography isn’t just my job—it’s my passion. I see every session as an opportunity to create something meaningful that you'll cherish forever. My goal is for you to experience your session the way I experience photography: full of connection, joy, and heartfelt moments.
From the first click of the camera to the final framed print on your wall, I’m here to help make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Choosing the Perfect Location
One of my favorite parts of the process is helping families choose the perfect location. I consider how the location will complement your home decor, and look when printed so your images feel like a natural extension of your space. There’s nothing quite like seeing your family portraits hanging proudly in your home.
It’s even more meaningful when clients send me photos of their prints displayed! I still remember how much I loved seeing our own family photos on the walls growing up. Now, as a parent, I get to share those memories with my son—and that’s something truly special. These portraits become family heirlooms, passed down and cherished through generations.
Session Day: What You Need to Know
Once we’ve chosen your location, it’s time for your session! I always recommend arriving about 5 minutes early. (Pro tip: If your family is anything like mine, you might want to tell them the session starts 30 minutes earlier just to be safe 😉.)
The session itself is where the magic happens. This is my absolute favorite part—where I get to bring your story to life through images that reflect the beauty and personality of your family.
After the Session
Not long after your session, you’ll receive a sneak peek of the images we captured together. Then, you’ll get access to a proof gallery where you can select your favorite images. Once you've made your selections, I’ll carefully edit your chosen portraits and deliver them in a beautiful online gallery.
Then comes another one of my favorite steps: helping you choose how to display your images. Whether it's framed wall art, fine art prints, or custom albums, I’ve handpicked boutique-quality products that you’ll be proud to display in your home. Helping families design their heirloom pieces is such a rewarding part of what I do.
